Jack Cox Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Trahan Family Funeral Home - Pensacola on Sep. 18, 2025.
Jack Arious Cox, 81, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on September 18, 2025.

He was born in Baker, FL, to Henry and Martha Cox.

Jack hunted and fished all around Baker with his brother Buddy. He joined the United States Army for 4 years, then drove an 18-wheeler for many years, eventually retiring from working at the sheriff's office garage. After retirement, Jack spent many years hunting with his sons, Wayne and Bobby, and working on projects in his shop.

Jack gave his life to God on July 12, 2009, joining Ferry Pass Baptist Church and becoming a Deacon in 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Martha Cox; son, Wayne; and daughter, April.

Jack is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son, Bobby; daughters-in-law, Bobbie Sue and Lisa; granddaughter, Courtney; brother, Buddy; granddaughters: Ashley, Haley and Alexis; great granddaughter, Claire; stepchildren: Pam, Ronnie and Michelle; and many more relatives and friends.

Bill Jones and Ken Cook were a blessing to Jack; he absolutely loved them. He enjoyed the time they shared when he was being mentored by them. He enjoyed the long talks about God and talking with them about family. He looked forward to their morning and afternoon talks.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Trahan Family Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with the funeral beginning at 12 noon.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ronnie Small, James Small, John Small, Mike Devito, Johnny Christine and Ron Carter.
