Jack Dreher Obituary
Jack H. Dreher Sr., 93, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away at his home on Sunday July 16, 2023.
He was born in Tecumseh, Indiana on April 11, 1930, to Harold "Bud" Dreher Sr. and Mildred Gossett Dreher.
Jack married the love of his life, Audrey on May 29, 1948, in New Goshen. They loved to travel and made friends everywhere they went. Jack did not know a stranger and he loved telling stories. His neighbors called him the Mayor of Monterey. He was a retired Clinton City Firefighter. After retirement when they were in Florida for the winter, he worked at Walt Disney World in various capacities ranging from security to helping with costumes.
Those preceding Jack in death are his parents, wife Audrey Dreher, son Jack Dreher Jr., grandson Jack Dreher III, great grandson Kenneth David Tegethoff, brothers Gerald, Herman and Bill Dreher, and his sister Mary Avenatti.
Jack is survived by his son Randy Dreher (Joyce) of Clinton; daughter Kimberlee Salmon (John) of Terre Haute; daughter-in-law Nancy Dreher of Clinton; grandchildren Amy Hill (Jason) of Speedway, Indiana, Molly Tegethoff (Tad) of Owensboro, Kentucky, Jared Dreher (Tracy Rippy) of Clinton; great grandchildren Amber Shaw of Clinton, Alexis Dreher of Clinton, Meagan, Ella and Kathryn Hill all of Speedway, Indiana, Audrey, Adeline, Amelia and Alivia Tegethoff all of Owensboro, Kentucky, and great-great grandchildren Jackson and Carson Goetz Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Friday July 21, 2023, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Service begins at 2:00pm with Nick Agresta Officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flower donations may be made to Kid Kare Project, Inc. in memory of Jack.
