IN LOVING MEMORY OF NANCY AMERMAN

Nancy Ann (Sweazey) Amerman, 85, of Mecca, Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born October 26, 1940, in Clinton, Indiana to Dorothy Sweazey. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1958 and married Bobby Dean Amerman on September 26,1959. Together they built a life rooted in devotion and raised two daughters, Bobbi and Ami.

She spent her working years as an administrative assistant before retiring from Eli Lilly and Company in 2000 after 30 years of dedicated service.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, of Mecca; daughters Bobbi Amerman of Clinton, and Ami (Ken) Hargis of Terre Haute; grandchildren Steffani Curry, Cody Firestone, Zach Firestone, Kennedy Hargis, and Kerrigan Hargis; and great-grandchildren Baylen Curry, Blayne Curry, and Paisley Firestone. She is also survived by sisters Betty Little, Barbara Fulmer, Mary Lou Finney, and brother Samuel Sweazey.

Nancy had a playful spirit and fun-loving sense of humor that brought laughter to those around her. She delighted in sharing time with family, shopping, taking beach vacations, and having lunch with treasured friends.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished each of her grandchildren deeply and shared a particularly close bond with Kennedy and Kerrigan, who were the light of her life. Their milestones filled her with pride, and their laughter and love brought her immeasurable joy.

Nancy's legacy is one of strength wrapped in tenderness - a life lived with conviction, generosity, humor, and love. The family she nurtured will carry forward her resilience, wisdom, and the steady comfort she so freely gave.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
