Jack Eugene Gibson

A celebration of life for JACK EUGENE GIBSON, 76, will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Sunrise Church in Torrington with Pastor Brent Mullock officiating. Jack passed away on November 4th, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family and cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com Jack was born on March 20th, 1949, in Scottsbluff, NE, the son of Claude (Hoot) and Georgia (Giggs) Gibson. He was raised on the family farm south of Lyman, NE, where he later raised registered quarter horses. After graduating from high school, Jack joined the National Guard and served for 12 years. He later went on to work for the State of Wyoming Engineer's office as a Hydrographer Commissioner, from which he retired in 2016. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Nellie; 6 children, Don (Wendy), Kenny, Bobby, Brent, Dusty (Monica), and Crystal (Matt); 1 brother, Dan (Ginny); 1 sister, Claudette; 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoot and Giggs Gibson; mother-in-law, Ida Edmondson; and 1 brother-in-law, Tom Culver.
