Jack D. Hardy, age 92, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. He is preceded by his beloved wife of 59 years, Shirley Ann Hardy. He is survived by his three children, Lenny Hardy, Robin Donati, Laurie Bowes (Mike); his four grandchildren, Michael Bowes Jr. (Marianne), Brandon Bowes (Carla), Tony Donati, Natalie Garmon (Cory); and his six great-grandchildren, Caedon Bowes, Emma Bowes, Brandon Bowes Jr., Colt Bowes, Micah Bowes, Amina Garmon. Jack was born in Danville, VA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, VA 23069, followed by a reception at Monaghan Funeral Home.
