Jack Dwane Harrison, age 79, of Centerville, Indiana, died Sunday, July 20, 2025, at home.
Born March 18, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, to George and Betty Lucille Jones Harrison, Jack was a life-long resident of this area. He was a graduate of Centerville High School, Class of 1965. Jack worked in maintenance at Atlas Plastics and at the National Guard Armory, retiring from there in 2009. He loved being outside, hunting, fishing, and even mowing, and had a small mowing business. Jack was an active member of the Wayne County Conservation Club. He retired from the Army National Guard after 31 years of service.
Survivors include his children, Jennifer (Ken) Darnell and Jeff (fiancée – Lisa Nixon) Harrison; grandchildren, Brittany (Brandon) Hubner, Makenzie Stalets, Marissa Stalets, Jordan Harrison, Joey Harrison, and Brandon (Courtney) Darnell; great-grandchildren, Ian Hubner, Corbin Hubner, and Lily Darnell; sister, Vera Smock; nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sonya Helms Harrison, on February 27, 2016; parents; sister, Kathy Harrison; and brothers, David Harrison and Tom Harrison.
Visitation for Jack Dwane Harrison will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Mills Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
