Jack Keith Harshman, 77, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away on March 26, 2026, peacefully surrounded by the love of his family in Savannah, Georgia. He was born on November 7, 1948, in LaPorte, Indiana, to the late Lebert William and Anna Alice (Wilber) Harshman.
Jack spent the later years of his life in Georgia, where he lived with his daughter, Tracy, and son-in-law, Carl Wells Jr., cherishing the time spent close to family.
On March 23, 1968, Jack married Pamela Miser in LaPorte, Indiana. Although they later divorced, they remained deeply committed parents and the best of friends, continuing to support one another and their children with love and respect throughout their lives until Pamela’s passing in 2014.
Jack was a proud and dedicated member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, serving for more than 55 years with Local 531 in LaPorte, Indiana, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, skill, and loyalty to his trade and fellow workers.
He found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures, spending time outdoors, fishing, woodworking, tending to his garden, and watching birds. Above all else, Jack treasured time with his family.
A devoted Christian, Jack loved the Lord deeply and lived his life guided by his faith. He was known for his generous spirit, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was loved by everyone who knew him and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and quiet wisdom.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Carl) Wells of Statesboro, Georgia, son Andy Leahy of Dayton, Kentucky; brothers, James (Paula) Harshman and Dan Harshman; six grandchildren, Hannah Leahy, Sid Leahy, Jack Leahy, Brittany Harshman, Larissa Elliott, Brandi Harshman, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved former wife and lifelong friend, Pamela; his sons, Todd and Tim Harshman; his parents, Lebert and Anna; his brothers Frank, Don, and Larry Harshman and his sister Deanna Stegall.
His life was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
Graveside services and interment at Rolling Prairie Cemetery, will be held at a later date.
