Taylor James Harshman departed this life unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, at the age of 29. He was born to Dr. Kort and Lori Harshman on May 29th, 1996, in Springfield, MO. The youngest of three children, Taylor brought joy, laughter, and love to his family and friends and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Taylor grew up in Nixa, MO., graduating from Nixa High School in 2014 where he was a proud member of the golf team and an active participant in Speech and Debate. Following high school he attended Ozarks Technical Community College and Missouri State University where he continued to nurture his love of learning.

Taylor was a man of many interests and abilities. He had a deep appreciation for history and literature and he found happiness in exploring new places. Some of his interests included gaming with friends, preparing elaborate meals, chess, disc golf, and pickleball. A passionate golfer, Taylor spent many hours on the course perfecting his swing. Taylor was an excellent pool player competing in leagues and tournaments where he enjoyed both the challenge and camaraderie.

Taylor was happiest outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the stillness of nature. He and his dad shared countless adventures together, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Taylor worked in banking, property management, and retail. He valued the relationships he built along the way and was known for his kindness and easygoing nature.

Taylor had a big heart. He cared deeply about the people in his life, even when he didn’t always say it out loud. Those who knew him will remember his intelligence, his sense of humor, and the quiet ways he showed love.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. Kort and Lori Harshman of Nixa, MO. His partner of seven years, Tianna Cibert, who shared in so many of life’s moments alongside him. His sister, Nicole Williams and brother-in-law Craig and nieces Lucee and Truly of Blue Springs, MO. His brother, Ty Teixeira and brother-in-law Andre of Alexandria, VA. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Joanne Korn of Beloit, WI. His maternal aunts, Terri Kenitzer and husband Dr. Keith Kenitzer of Louisville, KY. and Jayne Paddock and husband James Paddock of Menomonee Falls, WI. His paternal uncle, Dr. Richard Harshman and wife Anita Harshman of Tulsa, OK.

He is further survived by his cousins: Amber Harshman(Chris) and their children Julian and Olivia of Dallas,TX.; Ryan Harshman of Tulsa, OK; Dr. Zach Kenitzer(Darcy) and their children Zoey and Zeke of Chicago, Ill.; Alexandra Lyons(Joseph) and their son Lawrence of Louisville, KY; Dr. Samantha St. Peter(Justin) and their infant son of DeForest, WI; and Charlie Paddock(Ellie) of Mukwonago, WI.

Taylor leaves behind his beloved cats he shared with Tia, Annie and Toby.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Opal Harshman of Springfield, MO. and his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Korn of Beloit, WI.

Though Taylor’s time on this earth has ended, the impact of his life, the love he gave, the kindness he showed, and the joy he brought will live on in all who knew him.
