Obituary of Jack Edward Hartgrove
Jack Edward Hartgrove, age 88, of Knoxville, TN, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2023. Jack worked hard and played hard. He started his business, Southern Bankers, in Knoxville, Tennessee in the 1970's, and moved his family to Knoxville from Mount Carmel, Tennessee. He shared his love of automobiles, farming, boats, and travel with his family and friends. He was a giving person, and always wanted to help other people succeed.
He was predeceased by his mother Ruth Baldwin Hartgrove, and his father, Robert Edgar Hartgrove, both from Mount Carmel, Tennessee.
He is survived by two daughters from his first marriage to Jeri McClellan MacIntyre: Jackie L Hartgrove of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Kimberly S Brown (Dudley) of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Grandson David Caleb Brown. He is also survived by his current wife, Tessa Hartgrove and her children from a previous marriage, Jeff and Cynthia.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Carter-Trent Funeral Homes, 1115 HWY 11W, Church Hill, TN 37642. Entombment will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association in Jack's name.
