Jack W. Hendrickson

Jack Whittle Hendrickson of Buda, Texas departed this world February 26,2024. He was born on December 23, 1934, in Seattle Washington.
He moved to Texas with his father in 1946 to help on the family dairy farm. He attended Lampasas High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, a brother, and his son Ricky (Bubba) Hendrickson.
He is survived by daughter Kathy Darlene Harrison and husband Tim, daughter-in-law Donna Hendrickson, son Jason Hendrickson and wife Dana, his grandchildren William, Crystal, Kevin, Wesley, Darby, Oliver, and Finn, 8 great grandchildren, his dear friend Glenda, and step-daughters Amy, Angie, and Annie, as well as many cousins and friends.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953-1956, receiving an honorable discharge. He had many accomplishments in his life. In the 70's he had a band called The New Sounds. They played in venues across Texas. On weekends he would jam with his dear friend Horace Green.
Jack owned many businesses over the years including a Ridgeway Hendrickson, a lath and plastering company. They did many projects in the Austin area including Bass Concert Hall, Erwin Events Center known as The Drum and many more buildings in The University of Texas area.... although he was an Oklahoma Sooner fan. The most memorable was the restoration at the State Capital in Austin. A company photo is hanging on the wall in the Capital and he received an official restoration poster signed by Governor Ann Richards.
He will be missed but will live in our hearts forever.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 10:00AM at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale, Texas.
