Jack Hindman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Better Place Funeral & Cremation Services on Oct. 29, 2025.
Born: November 1947, in Borger, Texas Passed: October 27, 2025, in Broomfield, Colorado
Jackie Arlan Hindman, lovingly known as "Jack-O," lived a life full of courage, laughter, and heart. Jack was born in Borger, Texas, and grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, where he attended school before moving to Farmington, New Mexico. At just 17 years old, Jack joined the U.S. Marine Corps to serve his country in the Vietnam War. He proudly completed two and a half tours. During one patrol, he was shot in the back-his buddies dug the bullet out, patched him up, and, true to form, Jack carried on. That was who he was: tough, loyal, and unstoppable. Once a Marine, always a Marine!
Jack had two children with his first wife, Vickie-Susan and Jack II ("Bubba"). In 1985, while water skiing on Navajo Reservoir, Jack suffered a brain aneurysm. He was helicopter-lifted to Denver for emergency surgery and, once again, fought his way back in typical tough-guy fashion.
In 1994, Jack met and married the love of his life, Karen Falls. They celebrated 31 wonderful years of marriage on August 13, 2025.
Over the years, Jack worked many jobs-over-the-road trucker, farmer, diesel mechanic, and parts man. No matter what he did, he gave it his all. He loved hiking, fishing, camping, Silver Sneakers, and especially loved being around people. Jack never met a stranger. He called every woman "sweetheart," which sometimes got him into a bit of trouble-but usually with a smile. Let's face it, Jack was almost always in some kind of trouble, and that's part of what made him so loved.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Georgia Mae (Dodson), James Arlan Hindman, and his brother, James David Hindman.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan and her husband, Ron Robinson, and their children Heather, Courtney, and Ryan; his son, Jack Arlan Hindman II ("Bubba") and wife Dawn, and their children Lillian and Hunter; step-daughter Vanessa Pinter and step-son Richard Baker; and step-granddaughters Letitia, Katherine, and Zelpha. Jack also leaves behind great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Emily, Wyatt, Karah, Skilyn, and the newest addition, Brynleigh Rae, just born October 18, 2025. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Dale Hindman and his wife, Diana, and their children, Jason, Amanda, and Jessica and their children. Jack is also survived by his deceased brother, David Hindman and Lori Hodge's children, Tiffany, Michael, and Brandon and their children.
Jack was a Christian, a Marine, a storyteller, and a man whose heart was as big as his grin. Family and friends were important to Jack. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and laughter will live on in every story told and every smile shared in his memory.
Semper Fi, Jack-O. You did it your way-every step of the way!
