Robert John "Bob" Wasil

Robert John Wasil, 77, of Golden, Colorado, passed away on December 28, 2025. He was born in Denver in 1948 to Betty (nèe Price) and John Wasil and lived most of his life in the Lakewood\Golden area. After graduating Lakewood High School in 1966, Bob met Sharon Cox when they were both working at May D & F Department Store at Westland Shopping Center. Bob and Sharon married and soon moved to Baltimore Maryland, following basic training for the US Army, where he served for two years, returning to Colorado in 1970. Eventually, Bob began working at the Coors Container plant, and the young couple bought a home and began their family. Bob was a dependable employee, who went on to work at Coors for 35 years before retiring in 2015. He was a devoted husband and father, whose whole focus was his family. He enjoyed family vacations, road trips, tent camping, and going into the mountains with his camera to look for wildlife. Bob was a sports fan who always rooted for the home team: the Broncos, Avalanche and Rockies. Predeceased by his parents and sister Alice Bergman McManus. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon, son Jeffrey of Lakewood, daughter Stacie of Golden, brother Ronald (Rebecca) of Pueblo, and many extended family members.
