Jack Kenneth Holland

Jack Kenneth Holland, age 78, went home to be with his Lord on December 5, 2025. He was born on August 4, 1947, in Vivian, Louisiana, to Jessie and Lucille (Ledbetter) Holland.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Phyllis Holland (Nichols); loving children Krista (Roger) Miller, Kerri Comstock, and Korin Bordner; cherished grandchildren Alan (Autumn) Cooley, Hunter (Jeremy) Miller, Ashlee (Brian) Wedding, Austin Kunkle, Grace Comstock, Avery Comstock, Sydney Bordner, and Carter Bordner; great-grandchild Aria; siblings Wayne (Diane) Holland, Roy (Denise) Holland, and Linda (the late Doyle) Dempsey; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his parents Jessie and Lucille Holland; siblings Mary Hicks, Wilford Holland, Gaston Holland, Melba Lovett, Tressie Tegue, and Charles Ray.
Jack worked as an oil field landman for many years before his retirement, and he took pride in his career. Jack was a funny person and often joked with others. He always brought joy and laughter to everyone and was known for his storytelling skills. He enjoyed working outdoors and had a strong affinity for Western culture. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren and always made family a priority. As a devoted father and grandfather, he was caring and attentive, often anticipating the needs of his wife and children before they expressed them. He will be missed and remembered by everyone who knew him.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home-Hillsdale on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, beginning at 1 P.M. with Dr. Samuel E. Wickard. Interment will follow at Northlawn Cemetery, Adams Township, Michigan. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Friends, who wish, may make memorial contributions to the North Adams Bible Baptist Church or Hospice of Hillsdale County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
