JACK WILLIAM HOLT, JR.

Jack William Holt, Jr. died peacefully at home, with his children at his bedside. Jack was born on September 18, 1935, to Jack W. Holt, Sr. and Odessa E. Holt. Jack grew up in the Clayton, North Carolina area where he graduated from Clayton High School in 1953.

Jack went on to enlist into the United States Marine Corps in August of 1953. Jack retired from the Marine Corps after serving for nearly 22 years. Following his retirement from active duty, Jack went on to work for the Marine Corps Finance Center, as a civilian, for another 21 years.

Jack met, and later married, Phyllis Ann Cannizzaro, on September 15, 1958, in Bay St. Louis, MS. They have two children, and three grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by both of his parents, his beloved wife Phyllis, and his brother, Robert "Bobby".

Jack is survived by his son, Louis (Lourene), his daughter, Lana, and his grandchildren, Brendan, Brogan and Lindsay.

He also leaves behind many friends and unofficial nieces and nephews.

Jack was known for his generosity and kindness. He was always the first to help when he could. His work ethic was unmatched. He was a man of few words but when prompted to talk about his honorable time in the military or his love of hunting, Jack would not hold back.

Services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Jack will then be laid to rest at Belton Cemetery with the rendering of military honors.
