Jack Norman Ingham, Sr.

Jack N. Ingham, Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, in Port Arthur, Texas, at the age of 91. Born on July 17, 1933, in Port Arthur, Jack lived a full and vibrant life, deeply rooted in family and community.

Jack dedicated over 30 years of his career as a machinist, proudly serving with Chevron/Gulf and earning the respect of many in his field.. His hardworking spirit reflected the values he ingrained in his family, fostering a legacy of diligence that they carry forward.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jack served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict, showcasing his commitment to his country. His service was a source of great pride, instilling in his descendants a strong sense of patriotism.

Jack’s personality shone brightly in his love for animals, particularly his fondness for cats and raccoons, which brought him joy throughout his life. However, his greatest love was undoubtedly for his family. He was immensely proud of his wife of 69 years, Ruby Allen Ingham, and took great delight in his children: daughter Linda Ingham Tait and her husband, Lynn of Port Neches; daughter Pamela Ingham Brown and her husband, Randy of Labelle; and son Jack Norman Ingham, Jr. and his wife, Crystal of Fred; alongside son Delbert Ingham of Port Arthur.

Jack's legacy of love continues through his grandchildren—Crystal (Jeff), Calvin (Selia), Amanda (Randall), Casey (Jesse), Jeff, Chris, Destiny (Bam), Owen, Tom, Corey (Shaunia), Jeff (Hope), Tanna (Jacob), Kevin (Kimberly), Keith (Brittany),Brittney (Luke) and Crystal (David)—who brought him immense joy. Further, his proud lineage includes twenty-three great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

Another layer of Jack’s life was his passion for music. As a member of the Songwriters Guild, he embraced the rhythms of Country and Western music, sharing his vocal talent with those around him and leaving a lasting impression on family gatherings. His music was heard around the world, receiving royalties for his music until his last days.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Eva Ingham, his sister, Gloria Martin, as well as brothers, Elmer, Bob, and Vernon Ingham. Their memories will forever be entwined with those who remain.

The visitation for Jack N. Ingham, Sr. will take place on June 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home,1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas. A funeral service will follow on July 1, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home,1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas and then a graveside service will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

The family welcomes all who knew and loved Jack to join in honoring his unforgettable life—a life characterized by love, service, and an undying devotion to family and friends. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
