Jack Kearfott Obituary
He was born on December 24, 1946, in Bloomington, IL, the son of Loren M. and Mary M. (Smith) Kearfott.
Jack first married Patricia Jakob-Orr, who survives. Together they had two children who also survive: Trisha (Michael) Dowd of Normal, IL, and Brett (Heather) Kearfott of Manteno, IL.
He later married Beverly Miller on November 22, 1986, who also survives.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Samantha Kearfott and Mason Dowd; two sisters, Sharon (Gene) Miller and Janet (Jay) Self; two brothers, Dan (Denise) Kearfott and Tom (Beth) Kearfott; and twelve nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles "Chuck" Kearfott; and one nephew.
Jack proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. During his service, he was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Fort Eustis, Virginia; and Fort Riley, Kansas. He was a member of American Legion Post 136 and VFW Post 4353.
Throughout his life, Jack worked in many different fields, gaining skills and experience that contributed to his remarkable ability to fix just about anything.
Golf was a lifelong passion for Jack. He was a proud member of the El Paso Golf Club, where he spent countless hours on the course, served on the board, and worked at the golf course, enjoying the camaraderie and friendships the game brought into his life. In addition to golf, Jack had a deep love of aviation and especially enjoyed flying helicopters and airplanes.
Jack and Bev divided their time between their homes in El Paso, Illinois, and St. James City, Florida. They also enjoyed several years of RVing together, creating lasting memories as they traveled and spent time on the road.
Jack always had a joke ready and made people laugh, leaving behind countless memories, stories, and friendships that will be cherished by many.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jack's passing.
Fuzz and I always enjoyed visiting with him and Beth in El Paso or when we would go to Florida and visit at their home! Jack and Fuzz always had to have a bloody Mary's together.

BEV and family. How can I possibly express what Jack's friendship means to to me--- He talked me through several tough patches in my life, for which I'm forever grateful! The nonstop jokes and conversations will always be in my memory. I'll miss you so my friend, my true friend! Love you and Bev forever.
