Jack Wade Kelley, 68, of Mims, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2025, with the love of his life Debra by his side.

Born in Beaufort, South Carolina, Jack lived a life filled with curiosity, craftsmanship, and deep devotion to the people and pastimes he loved. A true Southern soul with a sharp wit and encyclopedic memory, Jack could talk history with anyone-any war, any battle, any statistic. If it happened in the past, Jack probably knew the who, what, when, and why of it.

Jack owned and operated his own irrigation company in South Carolina, where his strong work ethic and skill earned him the respect of clients and colleagues alike. But when the work was done, you could find him where he was happiest: on the water.

He was an avid fisherman who knew all the good spots and swore by his own secret methods. Whether he was casting a line or just cruising, Jack felt most at home in a boat-especially when his beloved wife Debra was along for the ride. The two shared 32 wonderful years of marriage filled with laughter, deep conversations, and sunset rides that always seemed to end too soon.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Debra Kelley, and their son, Ramsey Kelley, who carries forward his father's curiosity, love of nature, and knack for knowing more than the average trivia buff.

Jack's presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered-in every historical documentary, every quiet cast on a still morning, and every story shared by those lucky enough to have known him.
