Jack was born on July 1st, 1951 in McKeesport, PA to Jack Raymond Kinkaid Sr. and Belvajean Kinkaid who preceded him in death.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Schow Kinkaid, his partner for 33 years, the love of his life, and constant companion.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Daniel Kinkaid (Amber) and Jodi Denne (Jake); and by his stepchildren Patricia Schow (Mike) and Robert Schow (Erin).
He was a proud grandfather to Kyleena Kinkaid and Caleb Schow, who brought him great joy.
He is also predeceased by his sister Ellen Kinkaid and brother Dale Kinkaid, and survived by his brother Greg Kinkaid (Debbie) and sister Chris Ann Pavlecic (Nick).
Jack's life was marked by strength, humor, patience, and kindness. A lifelong Catholic, Jack lived a life of service, fixing family cars, crafting house projects, cooking, baking, and helping others. Fifteen years ago, he received the extraordinary gift of a double lung transplant, a rare and life-giving miracle that granted him and his family more years of memories, laughter, and love. His loved ones will forever be grateful for that precious time.
Jack grew up in White Oak, Pennsylvania and spent his youth overhauling classic cars. In 1972, he joined the Navy where he served as a jet mechanic on aircraft carriers such as the USS Lexington, USS Intrepid, USS Independence, and USS Nimitz. After the service, he moved to California and worked as an air conditioning and heating specialist, a real estate agent, and 20 years as an airline mechanic for United Airlines.
Jack loved nature, history, and bringing people together. He spent his vacations camping and hiking with family in Yosemite National Park and relaxing in the tropical paradise of Key West, Florida. He took scenic rides with his wife on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, exploring the countryside. He and his wife also enjoyed dancing, often frequenting ShBooms, the San Jose club where they first met. He enjoyed wearing elaborate costumes to the Renaissance Faire, a place that was so special to him, it was the location where he proposed to his wife. Locally, he will be remembered for block parties, where he brought the community together with music and karaoke events. His friends and family will remember him by his laid-back, fun, and thoughtful nature.
