Mr. Jack Howard Knight, age 76 of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026. He was born February 1, 1949 in Greenville, South Carolina, son of the late Durwood Knight and the late Hazel Alldredge Knight.
After graduating from high school, he attended 2 years of Bible college and was of the Baptist faith. Having spent over 40 years as a self-employed carpet installer, Jack took great pride in his work to countless homes. He loved to bowl, play ping pong, and cheer on Alabama football. His fondness of Ford Mustangs reflected his adventurous side, while time spent in the mountains brought him much enjoyment. He loved playing cornhole with friends and watching reruns of Gunsmoke and The Andy Griffith Show.
He was a single father who dedicated his life to raising his three daughters, and will always be remembered as the best dad ever, because of his unwavering love and support.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Tetro and Gale Heatherly.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie "Bunny" and Michael Duncan, Kelly and Jason McLarty and Tiffany and William "Billy" Payne; six grandchildren, Taylor Priest, Brady Priest, Jordanne Knight, Jazmine Knight, Elijah Payne and William Payne; four great-grandchildren, Abel, Kaylee, Sawyer and Legend; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 12 noon until 3:00pm. A memorial service for Mr. Knight will follow the visitation at 3:00pm in the Sam Clark Chapel with Brother Jared Heatherly officiating,
