Jack Robert Liebl of Sheboygan, Wisconsin passed away in his home on Sunday, December 7th 2025 as a result of a cardiac incident. Born on August 17, 1952, Jack was the son of Robert H. Liebl and Helene (Steffen) Liebl. Following graduation from Sheboygan North, Jack attended the University of New Mexico – Albuquerque, later transferring to Colorado State University – Fort Collins where he graduated with a graphic arts degree and was part of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Jack’s career at Sheboygan Paper Box Company began in 1977 when he was hired as a Print Supervisor. In 1985 Jack became VP of Industrial Sales and in late 1986, he became President following the flip of a card when his father retired and sold the business to Jack and his siblings. Jack retired as Chairman of the company in July of 2019. He had great pride in the company and the workers meant so much to him. During his professional career, Jack was a member of Young President’s Organization (YPO), Sheboygan Early Bird Rotary, and served on the board of Wisconsin Bank & Trust.

The joy of Jack’s life was family, including his wife Pam, his two daughters Sami and K.D., grandchildren Ollie and Hannah, and the numerous dogs he and Pam shared throughout their marriage. Breakfasts with Sami and Ollie, movies with his “bug” K.D., and dinners at home with Pam were special moments for Jack. Watching Hannah pole vaulting or playing basketball gave him much pride. Jack enjoyed time with his family at home in Sheboygan as well as at their cabin in Hayward, Wisconsin. His favorite moments were sitting in a fishing boat, as the sun rose, with a fishing pole in hand. Those were the moments he called “church” when he could talk with God. Jack was an avid sports fan, especially the Green Bay Packers…how fitting that the green and gold beat ‘da Bears on the day of his passing, Jack was a prolific writer and always put a lot of thought into everything he wrote, whether it was an email to a friend or his column in the “Box Clippings” newsletter at work. When asked what his idea of perfect happiness is, Jack’s response was “to me perfect happiness would not exist until one ascends to heaven…hopefully one day I will find out.”

Jack is survived by his wife of 43 years Pam (Schweitzer) Liebl and daughters Sami (Adam Kabat) Liebl and K.D. (Kevin) Kalk, “bonus daughter” Bec Goodyear of Australia, as well as grandson Oliver and granddaughter Hannah. Jack is further survived by his siblings Mary DeWeese, Mardi (John) Kemp and Tom (Lisa) Liebl as well as step-sister Gail (Arthur) Markiewicz. Jack is further survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Barb Fulcer, Connie & Clint Kilb, Michele & Brian Matzdorf, Lee & Sue Schweitzer, Randy & Vicki Schweitzer, Steve & Paula Schweitzer, Annette & Jim Ubbelohde, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Robert H. Liebl and Helene (Steffen) Liebl, step-mother Helen (Vasselos) Liebl, brother-in-law Joel DeWeese, mother-in-law Delores Schweitzer, father-in-law LeRoy Schweitzer and brother-in-law Dan Fulcer.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Sheboygan County First Responders that assisted Jack and his family. Their warmth and compassion will not be forgotten.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Bill TeWinkle officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Ballhorn Chapels on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 3:00 -5:00 p.m., and on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The memorial service will be available to view via livestreaming.

Memorials in Jack’s name may be contributed to the Sheboygan County Humane Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
