Jack Thomas Oberts, II, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this world on August 26, 2025, in Inman, South Carolina. Born on January 15, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, he is the son of the late, Jack Thomas Oberts and Carol Ann Duckett Oberts.
Jack was a quiet and sweet man, known for his gentle demeanor. He was often described as a shadow to his father, reflecting the deep bond they shared. He loved family gatherings, especially his birthday celebrations, which he looked forward to, even more than Christmas.
Jack worked for several years through the Charles Lea Program. He was an avid fan of Elvis Presley, loving his music, movies, and memorabilia.
Jack is survived by his sisters, Connie Sharer (David) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Lynn Chambers (Chuck) of Roebuck, SC, along with his cherished niece, Kristie Brown (Ben), nephew, Nicholas Woffard (Ashley), and niece, Brandi Chambers. Jack was also a proud uncle to five great nephews and one great niece.
A graveside service to honor Jack's memory will be held, 10:00 AM, Friday, August 29, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, South Carolina, 29307.
Jack Thomas Oberts, II will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, gentle smile, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
