Jack Allen Patterson

Jack Allen Patterson, age 67, of Hillsdale, passed away at the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He was born in Burke, New York on June 24, 1955, to Hiram and Dorothy (Toland) Patterson. Jack married April Porter on February 17, 1979, and she survives.
Jack graduated high school and went to work and retired from Hillsdale Tool. He then went on to earn his Medical Assistant Training certification from Jackson Community College. After retirement, Jack spent his time working for Reading Emergency services and the North Adams Fire Department serving as Captain. When he wasn't working, Jack could be found outdoors shooting target practice, fishing, riding motorcycles, or playing with his favorite dog, Tick the beagle. Most of all, Jack loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and grand dogs.
Surviving family includes his wife of 44 years; April Patterson of Hillsdale, two children; Bambi (David) Fowler of Cambria, and Harley Patterson of North Adams, three grandchildren; Kyle Wilson, Hunter Berry, and Dustin Traxler, one great-grandchild; Ayres Wilson, and six siblings; Debra (William) Parnapy, Robin (Vinny) DeInnocentiis, Gary (Mary) Patterson, Greg (Cindy) Patterson, Van (Phyllis) Patterson, and David (Joy) Patterson.
Preceding him in death are his parents, and 3 sisters.
There will be a memorial service for Jack Allen Patterson on Saturday, June 24, 2023 starting at 1:00 PM at North Adams School. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM till the time of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the North Adams Fire Department.
