He was born on January 9, 1937, in Prescott, Kansas, to Wilbur and Florence (Weber) Phillips He married Janet Flowers on December 21, 1973, in Morton. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2022. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Billy Joe Phillips and Kirk Allen Phillips; and two brothers, Robert Weber and Russell Phillips.
Jack is survived by his children, Steven (Mary Lou) Flowers of Springfield, Illinois, Dana (Rosemary) Flowers of The Villages, Florida, Russell (Cindy) Flowers of The Villages, Florida, five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Jack worked for the Village of Morton for 26 years, retiring in 2000 as the Superintendent of Streets.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial of cremated remains will be at Hirstein Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton.
Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
