Hartselle
Funeral for Jack D. Raley, 78, of Hartselle will be Friday, January 10, 2014, at 7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Erwin and Rev. Michael Gunter officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral home on Friday.
Mr. Raley, who died on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at his home in Hartselle, was born October 27, 1935, in Cullman County to James Marlin Raley and Jennie Mary Grey Raley. He retired from AT&T as a cable repairman after 39 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bettie Ann Holloway Raley; three sons, Billy J. Raley of Houston, Ala., Steven C. Raley of Decatur and James D. Raley of Hartselle; two daughters, Cindy K. Bryant of Arley and Karen R. Raley of Hartselle; one brother, Tommy Raley of Decatur; one sister, Linda Parker of Vista, California; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Hospice of the Valley or to the American Cancer Society.

My cousin Jack was a true Raley; a man who loved company and conversation. He was fair to all, but bowed to no one but God. He was proud, generous, and independent of spirit.
