Jack E. Reppert, 94, of Rossville, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. He was born May 21, 1931, in Pyrmont to Russell and Ethel (Murphy) Reppert. He married Mildred C. DeVault on April 1, 1955, and she survives.

Jack was a graduate of Rossville High School, class of 1949. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1953. He worked as a millwright for Anheuser-Busch, Staleys and what is now Tate-Lyle. He retired from there in the mid 90’s and then worked as a driver for rental car companies. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and the American Legion. He was a past member of the Wildcat Conservation Club. He enjoyed shooting guns, riding motorcycles, and fixing cars and motorcycles. He was a patient and understanding man. He was always willing to help people with their mechanics. He enjoyed talking with friends and family. He loved passing his passion for guns and cars to his sons. Though none of them could ride backwards on their bicycles like he could.

Along with his wife of 70 years, Jack is survived by his children, Tony (Tammy) Reppert, Nicki Nice, Terry Reppert, Kelly (Barb) Reppert; eight grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; three brothers and three sisters.
