Jack Ray "Red" Roberts

Jack Ray "Red" Roberts, age 79, was called home on January 29, 2026.

Red was born on October 28, 1946, in Enid Oklahoma to Glen and Peggy Roberts. He graduated Enid High School in 1964 and worked through high school at the local grocery store to afford his car. He entered the US Navy following graduation. He was assigned to the Lake Mead Naval Station outside Las Vegas, Nevada. While assigned there he met and married Deborah "Debbie" Winans and they made a life in the desert.

He served the Las Vegas community as a police officer from 1968 till 2000. Upon retirement he and Debbie traveled the country visiting interesting sites and their family. They moved to Platte City, Missouri in 2018.

Debbie preceded him in death in January 2021 and his son, Micheal, passed in January 2018.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Joy Roberts; his five grandchildren, Erika Winegar, Meredith Moline, Jack Roberts, Stone Roberts, and Calvin Roberts; one great granddaughter, Charlotte Winegar; and one great grandchild due in June 2026.

He enjoyed reading, raising finches, collecting, and traveling with his wife of 56 years.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 in Enid, Oklahoma.
