Jack Schlaman

March 3, 1932 - October 12, 2025

Jack Richard Schlaman, Sr., born March 3rd, 1932, in Portland, OR, to William C. Schlaman and Geraldine Schlaman, passed away on October 12, 2025, in Lake Havasu City, AZ, where he and his wife Amy of 48 years have resided for the past 25 years. He is survived by his wife Amy, daughter Kathryn Schlaman, son Jack Schlaman Jr., daughter Jeannie Hines, daughter Angi Morrow, eleven grandkids, fourteen great-grandkids, three great-great-grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.

Jack founded Schlaman's Air Conditioning and Sheet Metal in 1974 in Riverside, CA. After selling the business, Jack and Amy moved to Lake Havasu in 1999. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960. Jack had a passion for racing. Before serving in the Army, Jack raced Flat Track bikes; after his return, he took up off-road racing-fiberglass class one cars, then later racing 7s trucks-until he eventually retired from racing all together. Jack's motto was "work hard - play hard," and he lived it every day. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years in the desert, where he could be found racing up and down the lake, navigating Jeep trails, and enjoying local bands, often tearing up the dance floor. His exploits were legendary and his energy contagious. Jack loved to share adventures with his family and friends, was steadfast in the face of any calamity, and was always the first to crack a joke in a tough situation. He could light up any room with his smile, laughter, and stories. He had the gift of making everyone feel welcome and embraced new friends with ease.
