Dorothy Campbell Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 18, 2025.
Born Dorothy Jean McGovern on September 1, 1942 in Kingman, Arizona while her family was living at the Boriana mine. Later living in Chloride, Az before settling in Kingman. Dot married Delbert (Dub) Campbell December 20, 1958 when she was 16 and he was 18. In February of 1965 they moved their young family of 6 to Lake Havasu City. Dot was busy raising their 4 small children (Tami, Sandi, Chip & Joe) while Dub worked in the construction industry helping to build our new town. In 1970 they purchased their first loader and went into business. That loader grew into Campbell Redi-Mix and Pioneer EarthMovers. In 1980 they completed their family with the birth of their son Andy, the only child they planned. The family has grown to include 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Dub Campbell and her children: Tami Atwell (Allan), Sandi Nagel (Don), Chip Campbell (Nancy), Joe Campbell (Sandy) and Andy Campbell (Kandin).
Over the years, while Dot was busy raising kids and helping to run the family business, she also found time to be involved with the local girl scout organization for many years. She also greatly enjoyed the shows and was a loyal supporter of Grace Arts. Dot was also a member of a local sorority and attended Calvary Baptist church. She had a special love for babies and found great delight in collecting dolls throughout her life. Her affection for anything and everything pink was well known among family and friends and became a signature expression of her bright and loving personality.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church – McCulloch Campus, located at 1605 McCulloch Blvd S, Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Interment will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life immediately following the graveside service at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center, where memories, fellowship, and shared laughter will honor Dot's life and legacy.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory. Those wishing to share memories or photos may do so on Dot's memorial page at https://www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com/obituaries/dorothy-campbell
