Services for Jack Stephenson, 90, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Lane Prairie Baptist Church with Pastors Ricky Fuchs and Brady Blevins officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M., December 26, 2024, in DFW National Cemetery. Fellowship will be Thursday, December 26th, from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M., prior to the service at Lane Prairie Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Llorente, Richard Stephenson, Chad Stephenson, Christopher Stephenson, Kenny Stephenson, Brent Trevino, and Tanner Stephenson.
Jack passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in Cleburne. He was born on December 20, 1933, in Muncie, Indiana. Jack served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service, he cultivated a successful career as a Maintenance Engineer. He was an active member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church, where he found community and fellowship. On July 8, 1995, Jack married Linda S. Weber in Grand Prairie, Texas, and they enjoyed a loving partnership that lasted for 29 years. He was known for his kind-hearted nature and strong faith, which shaped his relationships with family and friends. Jack was a true "Jack of All Trades," taking great pleasure in working with his hands and sharing his skills with those around him. Jack's spirit and love for others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Stephenson; children, Richard Stephenson and wife, Sheryl, Kenny Stephenson and wife, Tammy, Melinda Garvey and husband, Terry, and Georgia Blits and husband, Matt; grandchildren, Shelly, Brendan, Crystal, Michelle, Chad, April, Brianna, Jonathan, Krystin, Tanner, Christopher, Brent, Samantha, Molly, and Steven; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd V. and Esther Florence (Long) Stephenson; daughter, Debra Sue Stephenson; son, Thomas Stephenson; grandchild, Michaela Llorente; first wife, Tina Stephenson and second wife, Romanita Stephenson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either a Veteran’s association such as RAW at rebuildingamericaswarriors.org or to Joshua Fund which is a relief organization to bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus (www.joshuafund.com).
