Jack Stroebel Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 20, 2025.
Auburn Hills – Stroebel, Jack Duane of Auburn Hills passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, surrounded by his family during the last days of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ottilia (Zorn) Stroebel and his beloved wife of 57 years, Joanne. He will be dearly missed by his children: Mark, Sarah (Michael) Saggau and Daniel and his grandchildren Sophina, Alex, Sawyer and Luke.
Jack was born on May 31,1936 and raised in Saginaw, MI where he was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering at Michigan State and an MBA at the University of Michigan and continued to root for both teams throughout his life. He spent his career as a sales engineer for the Harry S Peterson Company and his retirement enjoying his friends and watching his grandkids.
Jack was a terrific card player, a lifelong runner (his wardrobe consisted mostly of the running t-shirts he acquired throughout the years), and he was able travel the world with his wife and dear friends. He was a wonderful host and welcomed friends and family to the home he and Joanne had in Glen Arbor for many years. He loved planning adventures with his grandchildren. He was generous, patient, kind and thoughtful with everyone he met. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Jack's name to any organization that spreads kindness and generosity in the world.
The family will plan a celebration of Jack's life this summer.
