Jack Dean Tryon, age 71, of Glidden, IA, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Accura Healthcare of Carroll surrounded by his family.

A private family funeral service will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden. Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery in Glidden.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com

Jack was born on January 9, 1954 in Carroll, IA. He was the son of Ray and Maxine (Walkup) Tryon. In 1963, the family made their home in Manitou Springs, CO, where he attended Manitou Springs High School graduating with the Class of 1972. He worked for the City of Colorado Springs for several years and later worked other jobs before returning to Glidden in 2005. Jack was an avid fisherman and loved to do anything with the outdoors especially panning for gold.

Jack is survived by his children: Kacy, Brian, Cody, and Courtney; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother Tom; sisters: Mary Jane, Sandra, and Deb; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Briannia; his parents; and his brother, Steve.
