Jack Warmbrod Obituary
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he began his teaching career at the West Tech High School, in Cleveland, teaching cabinetmaking. Jack was a very talented woodworker, continuing his trade even after losing his sight at the age of 50 and continued until his death, handmaking furniture and lathe turning posts for his front porch.
He is survived by his loving wife, Penny, of 42 years of marriage; in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jack had been active in Lions Club, People for Life, and St. Boniface Catholic Church, having received the Melvin Jones Fellow award for 2008-2009, and the Wagner award from People for Life in 2019.
Visitation will be at St. Boniface Church, 9367 Wattsburg Rd., on Saturday, November 29th, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
We wish to thank our nurse Katie, and staff at AseraCare Hospice for their Great Care. Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 E. 38th Street is assisting with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to People for Life, P.O. Box 1126, Erie, PA 16512.

I will always remember the music in our neighborhood as Jack used the sound to find his way around his property. Blindness never stopped him, he continued his carpentry and yard work, never missing a mark. He was such a happy content man, a great neighbor and family friend. I moved away but didn't forget. Please accept our condolences. Jack was such an inspiration, especially after losing his eyesight and continuing to make such beautiful woodwork. The jewelry box he made me in high school still sits on my dresser. He will be missed.
