Jack Wesley Willhoite, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford on Saturday morning, July 19, 2025.
Jack was a “free soul” and known to many people in the La Junta community. Once Jack met you, he would never forget you. He could see a person once a year and remember your name, and if he saw you a block away, he might holler your name, hoping to catch your eye.
Jack was a Broncos fan to the core, and never missed watching a Broncos football game on television wearing his Broncos cap and shirt – enjoying every minute of the game.
Jack is survived by his brother, Rob (Sheleen) Willhoite, and sister, Linda Franks, all of Rocky Ford, his former wife, Maria Molina of La Junta, and many nieces and nephews scattered across the country.
Preceding Jack in death are his parents, Jeff and Ada Margaret Willhoite of La Junta, older sister, Caroline Thomas, and younger brother, Pat Willhoite.
Graveside services will be held in La Junta on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Fairview Cemetery in La Junta.
Online condolences may be made at www.PeacockFH.com. Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
