Stephen “Rowdy” Darnell, 63, of La Junta, Colorado, formerly of Deer Trail, Colorado, passed away on November 20, 2025, at his La Junta Home. He was born on February 23, 1962, in Pueblo, Colorado to Norman & Laura (Sullivan) Darnell. Stephen married Sandra “Sandi” Sack on February 15, 1992.
Rowdy is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Sandi Darnell; daughter, Nicole Darnell; step-brother, step-sisters, sister & brother- in laws, and several nieces & nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman & Laura Darnell; brothers, Doug and Gary Darnell, and his beloved dog, Gon.it.
Memorial service will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with longtime friend, Kevin Sykes officiating.
