Jack Worsham, age 85, passed away Saturday morning, November 8, 2025, at his home in Enid, MS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Charleston, MS with the interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Enid, MS. The family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Jack was born on November 18, 1939, in Charleston, Mississippi, to the late Jack Worsham, Sr. and Anthony Fonda Worsham. A dedicated family man and respected member of his community, Jack was a retired Memphis Fire Fighter, having devoted 30 years of his career to the safety and service of others.
Throughout his life, Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, demonstrating a commitment to duty and honor that he carried with him outside of his military service. He was deeply involved in his local community, being an ordained Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Charleston, Mississippi, where he was a beloved member. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both challenges and triumphs.
As the second born of eight children, Jack supported and cherished his siblings throughout his life. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife of 62 years, Barbara Douglas Worsham of Enid, MS; his daughter, Wendy Worsham Davis of Lake Cormorant, MS; and his son, Michael D. Worsham of Enid, MS. He is also survived by his cherished siblings: Margaret Laster of Barton, MS; Mary Bray of West Memphis, AR; Donald Worsham of Potts Camp, MS; James Worsham of Barton, MS; Robert Hunter Worsham of Hernando, MS; and William T. Worsham of Memphis, TN. Jack's legacy extends to six grandchildren and one great-grandson, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Jack enjoyed many passions including watching football and fishing, activities that provided him joy and a sense of relaxation. His family and friends will remember him for his warm presence, kind heart, and a deep love for those around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Worsham, Sr. and Anthony Fonda Worsham, and two brothers, Charles Worsham and Bobby Worsham.
