Jackie Bishop, age 75, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Jackie was born on February 9, 1950, in Olney, Texas, to the late Albert "Jack" and Imogene (Helton) Bishop. He graduated from Olney High School in May of 1968. He married Kay Hulcy on June 30, 1973, and they spent just over forty years together before she preceded him in death in November 2014. Jackie was well known in Olney for his community involvement. He was a former Olney Volunteer Fireman and Olney Little League Coach, and he served for many years volunteering at the Olney One Arm Dove Hunt. Jackie operated Bishop Gulf in Olney, for a number of years. He also spent decades being the face of the Graham Livestock Commission, where he was a trusted source and made numerous close relationships. Jackie loved watching his grandchildren play in their extracurricular activities; in this, they converted him from a 'die-hard' Olney Cubs fan into one of the biggest supporters of Holliday and Windthorst athletics and bands. Jackie never met a stranger and always treated everyone he met like a friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kay (Hulcy) Bishop.

Jackie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Kristy Bishop of Wichita Falls, Texas, his two daughters and one son-in-law: Brenn Hobbs of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Bevin and Jeremy Parker of Wichita Falls, Texas, his six grandchildren: Jackson Bishop, Isabella Hobbs, Mya Hobbs, Sophie Parker, Judson Parker, and Amelia Parker. He is also survived by his sister Gaye McWhorter of Archer City, Texas.
