Jackie Bodiford

Jackie Bodiford, 72, of Palatka, went to heaven dancing on Saturday, October 4, 2025, following a brief illness.
She was born in Montgomery, Alabama. She spent her teenage years in Zephyrhills, Florida and graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1971. Her working life brought her with Wayne to several cities throughout Florida, where she served the public at Zephyr Haven Nursing Home, the Zephyrhills First Assembly of God Church, South Florida State College in Avon Park, St. Johns River State College in Palatka, and as an elementary school teacher with Putnam County Schools. She retired in 2015 after more than 30 years of public service.
Jackie was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Palatka, where she served as both a deacon and an elder; was active in the Presbyterian Women, sang in the choir, and sang on occasion with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruth Archie; and infant twin sons.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Wayne Bodiford, and two children, Brady Bodiford and Samuel Bodiford.
Jackie's memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Palatka with the Rev. Cliff Lyda officiating.
