Jackie "Jack" Carroll Chase, age 88, passed away suddenly at his home in Newburgh, IN on September 21, 2024. Jack was born March 20th, 1936, in Evansville, IN. He is the son of the late Dorothy Byers.
In addition to his mother, Jack is proceeded in death by his wife, Juanita Chase; brothers, Billy Ray Chase, Charles Walter Chase, Steven Dale Robinson & Jerry Wayne Robinson; sister, Dorothy Jean Benjamin, sister Francis Chase, brother's Ronald & Donald Chase (twins).
Also preceding him in death are his step-children, Deborah Ashby & Timothy Ashby.
He is survived by his daughter, Anita Chase-Dillard; granddaughter, Aimee Michelle Dillard; sister, Karen Lou Lee; brother, Joe Dan Robinson; niece, Dorothy Jean Miller; great-grandchildren Austen & Tamsin Cowling; his beloved dog BENJI.
Also surviving are his step-children, Joanne Douglas (David), Donna Ashby & Bill Ashby (Cheryl); step-grandchildren, Nicole, Christopher, Stacy, Cory, Sonya, Kayla, Chelsea, Kyle, Brad, Zachery & Billy.
Jack was a very proud Veteran and served his country in both the United States Army from 1955-1957, and then in the United States Airforce 1958-1981, until his honourable discharge in 1981.He continued to serve the Airforce as a contractor for a further 25 years. Jack worked as part of the Top-Secret Communication Division of United States Airforce and was subject to rigorous classified clearance checks making him one of the most highly regarded military professionals.
He was described as meticulous, methodical and a disciplined leader within his division.
During Jack's exemplary career, he worked on communication projects around the world including NORAD.
His travels led him to the United Kingdom, Morocco, Norway, Africa, Johnston Island and many more.
Jack Retired as a proud Master Sergeant with many commendation medals and BA degrees in Business and Law.
DAD was everyone's 'GO TO' guy for help, guidance and prayer. Jack was a member of The Crosspointe Trinity Church.
Funeral Service 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Bradley's Colonial Chapel 1005 E. Main St. Boonville, IN. Visitation begins at 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery.
