Jackie Duffer was born on December 29, 1941, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Gaines, and passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 83 years.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, one (1) brother, Henry "Sonny" Gaines, one (1) sister, Jean Campbell, and one (1) niece, Amber Gaines.

Jackie is survived by her husband James Duffer, who she married on November 23, 2000, two (2) children, Steve Ellis, Peggy (Kip) Denkins, three (3) step-children, Mary Padron, Carol Duffer, Pam Duffer, four (4) siblings, Frank "Bud" Gaines, Roger (Shirley) Gaines, Gloria Rohan, Doug (Barb) Gaines, four (4) grandchildren, Robbie Ellis, Heather Ellis, Whitney (Thomas) Ward, Rachel (James) McCoart, six (6) great-grandchildren, Bryer Ellis, Clara Jenkins, Parker Jenkins, Nathan Jenkins, Ava Ward, Zachary Ward, and many special nieces and nephews.

Jackie dedicated more than 60 years to the family business, Madison County Wood Products, where she served as Administrator of Operations until her retirement at the age of 81. Her strong work ethic and leadership left a lasting legacy within the company and among those who worked alongside her. Outside of work, Jackie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-watching movies, dancing, and cheering for her beloved Kansas City Chiefs. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, who brought her endless joy and pride. Her warmth, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her

Jackie was of the Catholic Faith, and she loved animals, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
