Jackie was born on October 9, 1949 in Kermit, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Joseph Newman and Bertha Trout Newman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Lee Gauze Sr., and eight siblings, Geraldine Wilson, Connie Price, Patsy Ann Newman Gauze, Barbara Ellen Newman Wilson, Donnie Newman , Sonny Newman, Thomas Newman and Jimmy Newman.
Jackie is survived by her son, Aaron Lee Gauze Jr., and his wife, Wendy of Inez; sister, Brenda Jo Newman (Jim) Harper of Garden City, MI, sister-in-law Maxine Newman; special niece, Cathy Williamson; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, KY with Derek Catron officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain Valley Memory Gardens in Inez. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
