Jackie “Gram” (Heeney) Glavin, of Quincy, passed away in her home on October 29th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family who she adored. She was 89.
Born in Boston, a daughter of the late William and Anna (Brett) Heeney, she had lived in Quincy for many years. Jackie was a woman of profound faith and was a daily communicant at Saint Joseph’s Church in Quincy. Her family was her everything and in return they were blessed with a beautiful mother.
Jackie was most happy enjoying the time spent with family over the summers both in Dennisport and Humarock.
She always enjoyed going out with whatever children or grandchildren were around on a Friday night, enjoying a hot cup of tea, and following her fellow Boston Bruins, Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. Jackie will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Beloved wife of the late William J. Glavin.
Loving mother of Maryjo Brogna, Jean Dodd and her husband Jim, Jackie McDonald and her husband, Paul all of Quincy, Janice Conway and her husband, Ed of Dedham, William Glavin of Norwood, and Brian Glavin of Quincy.
Sister of Shirley Heeney of Rockland, the late William Heeney and his surviving wife, Beverly, of Marshfield and the late Lorraine O’Toole.
Cherished and beloved Gram to Kristen Higgins and her husband, Brian, Jaclyn Bell and her husband, TJ, Sarah Welch and her husband, Aaron, Ryan Dodd and his wife, Megan, Brendan, Matthew, Kevin, MaryKate, Aine, Liam, Maeve, Aibhlinn, Alana,and Ciara.
Great Gram to Gianna, Sofia, Brian, Brooklyn, and Gabriella, and Noah, Shaelyn, James, and Emma.
Sister in law of Susan McAleney Mary Costello and her husband Larry and Michael and Penny Glavin
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 11/3/2024 from 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday 11/4/2024 in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 am
Burial will conclude at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 375 Kings Highway North, Suite B Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
