Jackie Sue Hamm

Jackie Sue Hamm, 82, of Petersburg, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord, on August 16, 2025, at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg, Indiana. She was born on June 14, 1943, in Oakland City, Indiana to the late Charles and Doris (Burdette) Rogers.

Jackie was a long-time member of Patoka Grove Church, but most recently Littles General Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and working with seniors. She would host game days with her friends. She was active in everything.

She clowned for the Christian Clown Association in Vincennes, enjoyed picking and fiddling contests, participated in Relay for Life events in Petersburg, Indiana, and always got her graduating class together for reunions. As the seasons changed, Jackie loved to decorate for the occasion and the holidays. She loved taking trips, but more importantly spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Jack L. Hamm; brother, James L. Rogers; step-children, Jackie Lee Hamm, Jr (Debbie) and Karen Diane Hill (Danny); sister, Mary Lou (Rogers) Humes; grandchildren, Keenan Hamm, Ashley (Hill) Conway, Kacy (Hamm) Tharp, Chance Hamm, Clayton Hill, and Cara (Hill) Alvarado; 16 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doris Rogers; brother Dale E. Rogers; sister, Carol June (Rogers) Whaley.

A visitation will take place at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel on Tuesday August 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM (EST) to 1:00 EST PM with service starting at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Keith Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow the service at New Liberty Cemetery in Coe, Indiana.
