Jackie Johnson Obituary
Jackie was born January 5, 1943 in Cherry Creek to the late Comer and Nannie Pearl Shubert Johnson. Jackie made a career in working maintenance for different factories in White County and ultimately retired from BASF. He was a 1962 graduate of White County High School where he was a standout basketball player and fondly remembered as "Jumping Jack". Jackie enjoyed hunting and fishing but loved being Pa for his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Carol Mae Horner Johnson who died November 29, 2022 and infant brother Robert Thomas Johnson.
Survivors include his son Mitch Johnson and wife Brittani
Daughters: Jacqueline Dicus and husband Blake, Bennetta Littlefield and husband Dennis
Grandchildren: Chloe Johnson, Caden Johnson, Jake Dicus, Cole Dicus and Aiden White
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, January 3, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Upper Cherry Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Joseph Neal will officiate.
Aiden White, Lonnie Neal, David Hickey, Scott Nelson, Chris Brewington and Paul Murdock will serve as pallbearers. Kenny Crouch will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
