Jackie Don Limbaugh

Jackie Don Limbaugh, fondly known by all who knew him as Pepa, age 88, of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Highpoint Health Winchester. Jackie was born on October 1, 1937, in Franklin County to the late Oliver Owen "Zach" and Eula Kate (Clark) Limbaugh. Jackie served his country in the Navy on the USS Taluga "AO62" Upon returning home he worked for General Motors and eventually retired from Jack Daniels Distillery. In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching softball and baseball. Skilled with his hands you could find him making beautiful wood pieces. In his spare time, you could find him fishing by lake, watching sports or old westerns, working in the garden with his daughter, or sitting at the ballfield and court watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play their favorite sport. He was a faithful member of Owl Hollow Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Jeraline (Edde) Limbaugh; daughter, Carrie Marie Mullins, brother, Elmer Owen Limbaugh; and sisters, Shirley Fann Byrom and Peggy Ann Byrom. Jackie is survived by his son, Zach (Hayley) Limbaugh; daughter, Dawn (Mark) Finney; grandchildren, Ethan (Holly) Hall, Amber Limbaugh, Addison Kate Limbaugh, Cade Limbaugh, Matthew (Hannah) Finney, and Jacob Finney; great-grandchildren, Brinley Limbaugh, Lennox Phipps, Nix Hall, and Ridge Hall; nephews, Michael Limbaugh and Matthew Byrom; and many other relatives. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Rayburn officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Broadview School Library or Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
