Tammy Limbaugh Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Denison Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
Tammy Lynn Limbaugh, 67, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Denison. She was born on August 4, 1958, in McKinney, Texas, to Clifford Larson Dickerson and Earline (McFarland) Dickerson.

Tammy was one of the toughest fighters those who knew her ever witnessed. After enduring numerous surgeries and health challenges in her later years, she never allowed her struggles to define her. Anyone spending time with Tammy would have never known the extent of what she faced; goofiness, warmth, and kindness never faded. She met life with humor, resilience, and an unshakable spirit.

She was fiercely devoted to her family, especially her two children and grandchildren. Conversations with Tammy almost always began with updates about "the kiddos," whom she adored beyond measure. Being a Mimi was one of her greatest joys, and her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds.

Tammy deeply loved her parents and siblings, remaining protective and loyal to them until the very end. Though her health declined, her family joked that anyone foolish enough to cross one of them would still see Tammy charging their way-wheelchair and all. Her bond with her father, lovingly known as "Big Paw," was especially strong. His passing left a lasting ache in her heart, and her family finds comfort imagining them reunited-sharing frog-eyed salad, laughter, and the same big-hearted goofiness that Tammy carried throughout her life.

Professionally, Tammy dedicated much of her career to caring for children, serving as a daycare manager for many years, a role that reflected her nurturing nature. She later worked as an office administrator for a financial advisor with Ameriprise, where she was valued for her dedication and reliability.

Tammy is survived by her children, Chris Limbaugh and wife Halley of Paris, Texas, and Geny Limbaugh of Gun Barrel City, Texas; four grandchildren, Hailey, Hunter, Triston, and Addisyn; spouse, Gary Limbaugh; her mother, Earline Dickerson; her siblings, Kim Balogh and husband Dennis of Pottsboro, Texas, Clifford Lee Dickerson of Sherman, Texas, and Shelly Crotty and husband Doug of Farmersville, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Larson Dickerson, and her grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at 12 PM, Friday, January 23, 2026 at the Murphy Road Baptist Church, 411 S Murphy Road, Murphy, Texas 75094.

Tammy's family finds peace in knowing she is finally at rest. As her son so lovingly said, "Sleep well, Mom. You've earned some rest." Her strength, humor, and boundless love will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
