Jackie Carroll Mayes Jr.

Jackie Carroll Mayes, Jr. – age 61, of Powell, TN, passed away on November 4, 2025. Jackie was a life long resident of Knoxville. He was a faithful member of Block Springs Baptist Church. He was a very successful salesman at Tennessee Webbing and the owner of McTamble Company and The Purple Leaf, before becoming disabled for 10 years. Jackie loved to shop for antiques and vintage glassware and he loved his dogs, Tippy and Teddy.
Jackie was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Mayes; grandparents, Hazel and Carl Mayes, Lora Ellis and Johnnie Ellis.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Mayes; daughter, Callie Mayes; father, Jackie Carroll Mayes, Sr.; sister, Tammy Mayes-King, aunts Juanita Conley and Vickie (Teddy) Dunn; nieces, Audrey McAlpine, Shea and Grace, Jaclyn Evans and Andrew Evans, Kat and Ace; sister-in-law, Angie Arnold; brother-in-law, Tony Arnold; niece, Haylei Arnold; nephew, Zack Arnold; sister-in-law, Nikki Arnold; brother-in-law, Rodney Arnold; niece, Katie Arnold; and nephew, Cody Arnold.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Bridges Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Lee Brickey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM on Saturday, November 8 at Bridges Funeral Home and process to Clear Springs Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 AM Graveside Service.
