Jackie Shugart Obituary
Jackie L. "Jack" Shugart, age 80, of 837 Oak Ridge Drive, Perry, died Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon.
Jack was born in Unadilla to the late R. C. Shugart and Inez Turner Shugart. After graduating from Unadilla High School, he served his country with honor in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Pabst Blue Ribbon and retired from Robins Air Force Base. Jack was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Perry, was active in Sunday School and served as an usher. He also loved antique cars and playing softball.
Survivors include:
Wife of 60 years: Brenda T. Shugart of Perry
Son: Robert Craig "Rob" Shugart (Brandi) of Warner Robins
Sister: Merry Peacock of Vienna
Grandchildren: Hudson and Hayes
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles A. Shugart, Frances Simmons, Willie R. Shugart, Harvey Shugart, Patricia Phillips and Clint Shugart.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, November 21 in First Baptist Church of Perry. Interment with military honors will follow in Henderson Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
