He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta for many years. Herman was a Certified Public Accountant. His career as a CPA required a lot of traveling around the country, which he loved to travel and explore different places. He also loved to read books and enjoyed gardening. His absolute favorite hobby was photography and he especially loved to take pictures of nature and landscapes.
He loved his family, but most of all he loved the Lord!

A gathering to celebrate the life of Herman Bersie Shugart will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA.
