It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Aziel DeJesus Castillo, who graced this world for only a brief moment. Aziel was born on October 21, 2025, in Macon, Georgia, a beautiful little star shining brightly for his family before returning to the heavens later that same day at Piedmont Hospital in Macon.
Although his time with us was fleeting, Aziel was surrounded by love and warmth from the very beginning. He was the cherished son of Jose Hernandez Castillo and Jasmine Monrial Castillo of Unadilla. From his first breath, he brought immeasurable joy to those who held him, providing a glimpse into a bright future filled with possibility.
Aziel was blessed with an extended family that includes loving grandmothers, Gloria Estella Monrial and Marcelina Hernandez, who each held dreams for their grandson, along with grandfathers, Jose Reynaldo Castillo and Cesar Vega, whose legacy of strength and love will continue to resonate through the lives they touched.
Great-grandmother Soledad Monrial of Unadilla cradled a piece of Aziel's heart, and it is with the fondest of memories that she embraces his spirit. Aziel's familial bond extends to his aunts, including Aunt/Godmother Soledad Vazquez and Aunt Esmae Monrial, and uncles, Alfonso Peralta, Jessie Castillo, and Cristian Castillo, who would have adored him and cherished every moment together.
The pain of loss is felt deeply by all who loved Aziel, yet we find comfort in knowing that he now rests peacefully among the angels. His life, though brief, created ripples of love that will never fade.
A graveside service in honor of Aziel will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Walnut Cemetery where friends and family will gather to celebrate his precious spirit and the love he ignited in our hearts. The service will start at 12:00 PM allowing all who knew him to share their memories and support one another during this tender time.
Though Aziel's journey on Earth was short-lived, his spirit will forever beam in the hearts of those who loved him. May his memory be a blessing, and may we find solace in the love that surrounds us.
