Jackie Lynn Smith, 78, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at her home in Brandon, Mississippi.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Fannin, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Collins City Cemetery.
Jackie was born on October 13, 1947, in Simpson County, Mississippi, to Paul Robertson and Bobbie Grace Prestwood. She was a longtime resident of Simpson County, where she worked as a hairdresser and owned Cosmetique Beauty Salon in Magee from 1994 until 2004. She moved to the Brandon area in 2007, where she and her husband owned and operated Duncan Marine for many years. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Fannin, and she cherished her church family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Robertson and Bobbie Grace Lucas; brother, Rayvon Walker and his wife, Agrandize; brother, Tony Robertson; sister, Bonnie Kennedy and her husband, Nuel Gene; brothers-in-law, Tom Becker and James Ray Smith; son-in-law, Kenneth Byrd; and mother and father-in-law, Charlie James and Grace Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Charles E. “Eddie” Smith; children, James Anthony May (Misty), April Lynn Byrd, and Amanda Smith Loyd (Travis); sister, Diane Becker; sister-in-law, Brenda Robertson; grandchildren, Kylie May Berry (Price), Kelcie May Gilbert (Jace), Macee Rainey Hood (Hunter), Lacie McKenney (Catlin), Deanna Lyons (Ethan), Kayla Bredar (Grant), and Kyle Loyd (Kennadie); and great grandchildren, James Slate Berry, Barrett, Brady, Keely Kate, Mally, and Anna Haden McKenney, Braylee and Matthew Lyons, Parker and Rhett Bredar, and Nora and Loie Loyd.
